Dancin' Feet

In a past life, I was a professional dancer. I stopped about 10 years ago and my life has taken me on many other wonderful journeys.  Now it's time for my munchkins to find some thing that they love.  My little guy has done Kung Fu, my little girl has done both soccer and kung fu.  Now, we're exploring the dance world.    P has started in tap and M is taking a ballet/tap class.  When my daughter walks into the studio for her class, she beams for a solid hour.  There is no place in the world she's rather be.  My son is really the more artsy of the two and loves to sing and dance and honestly, he's got some great rhythm.  Week 4 of his tap classes and he's gettin' it down pat.  I'm so proud of both of them!

Snow fun

So, I'd say we're in a deep freeze right.  We've tried for the past few days to take the kids sledding and tubing at a nearby hill, but the below zero temps are making that just about impossible. I'm not so into frostbite, ya know?  We were lucky enough, though, to get out last week and have some fun in the snow.

The entire scene looked like a painting while we were there.

She was such a good sport in trying to get her sled back up the hill on her own.

Look Mom - no gloves! (that didn't last long)

This group did a pretty good job keeping their line straight as they headed down the hill.  It was impressive to watch.

Pooped out and ready to go home.

Hopefully, the temps will warm up soon and we can head out for another run!

Project 365

Happy New Year! Perhaps I've lost my marbles, just a little bit, but I've decided to embark upon a new journey and project this year.  It's called the 365.  Essentially, I'll be taking a photo every day in 2010 and posting it on Flickr.  It should be a wonderful challenge and a great growing opportunity.  Feel free to follow along if you like at www.flickr.com/photos/barilynn.  I'll be putting them all in the set titled 365.  One day at time, otherwise it seems far too overwhelming!  Wish me luck!

Here we go....
