Just for Fun

My little girl got her first real "grown up haircut" this past weekend. It was her idea to cut FOUR INCHES off of her hair and honestly, she couldn't possibly be any happier. In fact, she asked me how to make her hair stop growing so it could stay short forever!  I'm thrilled that she is thrilled. So, we had a little impromptu photo shoot in our family room after the hair cut.  I barely remember ever having this kind of energy!

Sneak Peek: Happy First Birthday!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful little girl for the second time. It's amazing how much she has grown in just six months.  Her mom was all ready to go when I arrived with a table full of adorable clothes and props.  My personal favorite was absolutely the blue and purple tutu with the matching headband.   But honestly, all the outfits were adorable.

We had a few outfit changes for the shoot.

And then, we did something I have the feeling I won't get to shoot very often.  We gave this sweet little girl a small, chocolate cake and let her go to town.  We laughed because it looked like she was already in a sugar coma about 2 minutes into it.  Her mom thought that perhaps her little girl was in shock that she was being allowed to do this at all.

What a fun, fun shoot!  I'm thrilled I was asked back for a second time.

Completion of Month 2 of my 365 project. It continues to be challenging but it's also keeping my camera in hand every single day!

Sneak Peek: A Very Busy Little Girl

On February 27th, I kicked off my fist shoot of 2010.  This was the second shoot with this adorable little girl who has grown quite a bit since last September.  Having just turned 2, it was time for her own photo shoot.  She was very busy the entire time, reading to her Hello Kitty, telling us stories in her own little language and simply being her sweet, entertaining little self!  Happy Second Birthday!
